Arthur L. Smith
Arthur L. Smith is President of Triple
Double Advisors, LLC. From 1984 to 2007,
Mr. Smith was Chairman and CEO of the
petroleum research and consulting firm John
S. Herold, Inc. From 1976 to 1984,
Mr. Smith was a securities analyst with
Argus Research Corp., The First Boston
Corporation and Oppenheimer & Co., Inc.
Smith currently serves as a director of
Plains All American LLP and Pioneer
Southwest Energy Partners, L.P. He is a
past appointee to the National Petroleum
Council (NPC). Previously, he has served on
the boards of the New York Society of
Security Analysts (NYSSA), Parker & Parsley
Petroleum, Pioneer Natural Resources, Cabot
Oil & Gas Corporation, Evergreen Resources,
Inc. and privately-held Kuwait Energy. He
is active in a number of petroleum industry
associations including the Independent
Petroleum Association of America (IPAA).
Mr. Smith also serves on the board of the
non-profit organization, Dress for Success
Houston and is on the Board of Visitors of
the Nicholas School of the Environment and
Earth Sciences at Duke University.
Mr. Smith received a BA from Duke University
and MBA from NYU’s Stern School of
Business. In addition, he holds the CFA
designation. |

John White
John M. White is Vice President of Triple
Double Advisors, LLC. From 2008 to 2009,
Mr. White was President of Braeswood
Advisors LLC, a petroleum research and
consulting firm. From 1996 to 2007,
Mr. White was a securities analyst with John
S. Herold, Inc., BMO Capital, Next
Generation Equity Research and Natixis
Bleichroeder. Mr. White’s industry
background includes experience in
Acquisitions and Divestitures as well as
Exploration and Production, primarily with
BP. He is active in a number of petroleum
industry associations including the
Independent Petroleum Association of America
(IPAA) and Houston Producers’ Forum. Mr.
White also serves on the board of the
non-profit organization, Santa Maria Hostel.
Mr. White received a BBA from the University
of Oklahoma. |

Gabriel G. Chavez
Gabriel G. Chavez is Vice President and
Research Associate of Triple Double
Advisors, LLC. Prior to joining the firm,
Mr. Chavez was a research analyst at Koch
Quantitative Trading. From 2000 to 2004, he
was an analyst at Enron Corp. where he
advised on acquisitions, financings, and
divestitures in various energy sub-sectors.
Mr. Chavez received a BS in economics from
the Wharton School of the University of
Pennsylvania and has completed all
coursework towards an MA in philosophy from
the University of Houston.

Debra Claxton
Debra Claxton is Executive Assistant of
Triple Double Advisors, LLC. Prior to
joining the firm, Ms. Claxton was Executive
Assistant at John S. Herold, Inc. From 1989
to 2002, Ms. Claxton was an administrative
assistant with PaineWebber, Jefferies & Co.,
and Deutsche Bank. Ms. Claxton received a
BA in English Literature from the University
of Houston.
